Before getting into the con stuff, I thought I’d mention that i really like this cover for the limited edition of the PS3 from FFXIII. It looks totally awesome. Too bad it won’t ever come here…
And FFVIII is now available in the PSN store in Japan! That should mean it gets over here pretty quickly so that’ll be cool too. Another random thing from TGS09 that caught my eye was a new Square Enix game called Death By Cube? Here’s a trailer. Very interesting.
And, just as a side note, OMG SKIP BEAT!!!!!!
(I’m referring to the last two chapters, 145 and 146. They were simply… insane)
And Happy 11th Birthday, Google!
Wow… 11 years…
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I wasn’t originally planning for this to stretch three weeks but what with school starting (and musical practices beginning. We’re doing Grease this year! Yay!) and just at how much I wrote for each day, this ended up being the case.
With that said, on to Day 3 we go!

By the way, it’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day. (YARRR! lol) However, as cool as it would be, I’m not going to write this post as a pirate. Sorry! lol.
And school is back and insane.
Why must things be so complicated?
Blah.
Also, apparently I didn’t see this earlier but this is an interesting US Open match. lol. Not sure if it beats Federer’s awesome shot, though, but it comes fairly close. ![]()
Anyway, onwards to Day 2 of Fan Expo!
No I did not go see the Jonas Brothers…

Or the Wonder Girls (grr. I’m jealous of my friends who did see them sing Nobody). I was at the Fan Expo!
This is a little late now but the end of summer and school were a little higher up on my list so yeah! Better late than never? lol
It was an action-packed three days (with little sleep) and an awesome time. My only regret is that I didn’t use a lot of flash in my pictures so many ended up blurry but I was just trying to be nice and not add to the blindness created by all the other flash photographers. But apparently, it was needed. I still have a lot of pictures though so it’s alright.

Being me, I forgot to say anything about how I was going to be away at my friend’s cottage for a week! But that aside, I had NO INTERNET! This trip reminded me of my dependence on it and how integral it has become in our everyday lives. Not that it’s completely a bad thing, though. Just something to think about. Particularly how many hours you spend in a day staring at a screen… and what time of day… but anyway, I was always busy so I think there were only two long moments when I thought about wanting the internet and that was only because some of the people I was with were going into town that day to go to an internet cafe and the other time was because I remember it was Friday and I’d have to read my weekly manga and possibly start writing my weekly(ish) post. Which I have to say was pretty impressive. I still can’t believe I survived a whole week! Of course, that will make me even more behind but that’s just something I have to deal with… lol
While at the cottage, I was able to see this cool sky after a storm.

It’s really cool because you can still see some blue in the sky mixed with the pink as well as a rainbow and where the sunset is currently hitting the trees. Very cool. Here is some more of the mix of pink and blue sky and this one is full out pink.

Wow this past week has been CRAZY! Lots of stuff going on. (Making this a pretty long post.Partly to make up for last week too I guess.)
So I just got back from California visiting my sister and it was so much fun!
We saw No Doubt in concert which was great! (and which was also my first concert experience so that was cool. Gwen is amazing live. She’s all over the place dancing and running into the crowds and interactive and stuff. Very cool. And I’m still surprised I still have my voice after that night. lol).
We also went to San Francisco and it was actually pretty sunny when we went (which is apparently rare) but we still weren’t able to get a good glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was like all the clouds decided to huddle over the bridge.
This was the best pic I could get.
Remembering those lost…

A couple days ago, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson passed away. Fawcett was one of the original Charlie’s Angels as well as a recent cancer survivor passed away thursday morning and I don’t think MJ needs any introduction. While the media may have twisted his later image that may or may not be true (but you also have to realize this comes with the territory of being in the spotlight. Is there any celebrity who is “normal”?), the fact is he was instrumental to the music industry from a young age with the Jackson 5 and even more so as a single artist. And I still doubt there is anyone who can dance like he can. I thought it was kind of weird because I had also recently been adding more MJ songs to my current playlist and then he was back on the news. Anyway, I just wanted to say a little something for these people who have recently passed away. While I can’t say I was around for much of the early parts of their lives, I still know who they are and respect all they have done for their respective industries.
May they both rest in peace.
I will remember her kindness, her cutting dry wit and, of course, her beautiful smile…when you think of Farrah, remember her smiling because that is exactly how she wanted to be remembered: smiling.

Crazy stuff at E3! And elsewhere.
But I still got good news and bad news. So I’ll start with the bad. I have exams coming up (including a 3-hour one next Saturday afternoon. WHO WAS THE GENIUS WHO SCHEDULED THAT?!?!?! Oh right. The same genii that told me I’d have to drop a course because they couldn’t fit my timetable… Until I pestered them for two weeks. Yeah.) meaning it is highly likely there will be no post next week since my exams span one and a half weeks (and I just happen to have exams both on the first and last days. Lovely.) So, wish me luck? Or really, just hope that I spend a decent amount of time actually studying productively.
And onto semi-bad news. Or at least in my opinion. A couple days ago, we saw the first trailer for FFXIV! (This was codenamed Rapture FYI) And it looked great! Until… the title came up. ONLINE? YOU SERIOUS? They already had FFXI. (And with a Star Wars MMORPG coming probably in 2010 too…) And if they’re gonna do this, they need to at least have a regular game that’s called FFXIV and then a related game that’s the mmo. I don’t like how the mmo’s are taking over the main name. If it was just FFXI, I would have let it go, but another one? … We’ll see how that goes.
The only good thing about this is that Nobuo Uematsu will be back for it! And, assuming he didn’t just come back for the one game, he might be back for good! That’ll be AWESOME!

GAH!
It’s crazy right now. I was planning to write a review on Kuroshitsuji, and possibly a joint one with Bartender and Antique Bakery, but then I got sidetracked and ended up finishing Grey’s Anatomy (omg!) and Lost (OMFG!) and then I was doing some missions in Crisis Core and now I’m preparing to fight Minerva and I’m gonna see Star Trek in a couple hours but I’m going shopping first so I have to get ready now and then I realized I need to finish reading Angels and Demons in time for next week so I read it before I watch the movie. And somehow I ended up on YouTube for a few hours and watched some more Whose Line Is It Anyway (here are two more good ones) and then I came across one of Bandai’s featured videos of Code Geass which is pretty cool that they got it on Youtube and it’s open to Canada too! lol.
However, it is dubbed so for those who want the original, the sub can be found on Crunchyroll, although you have at least the free membership… I think? lol I don’t even know. Anyway, I need to start watching that show…
Oh and I have an English essay due on Tuesday and a French one due on Friday, both of which I have barely started (and I’m already exaggerating). Yeah.
I’m really sorry there hasn’t been too much here in the past couple weeks but there will be more!
Anyway, I need to get ready before I’m gonna be late (did I ever mention I was almost an hour late to my own surprise party? Yeah.) so later!

And to what am I referring? Well, recently I’ve been watching random clips of Whose Line is it Anyway? on Youtube (can’t quite remember how that started but you know… one video led to another and whoops. 5 hours went by. lol. My last post should be proof enough to show this does happen… at least to me?) So I was looking back and I LOVE Whoopi Goldberg when she’s on this show. She’s amazing at improv. Anyway I also forgot Kathy Griffin was on the show and I had no idea that Stephen Colbert did at least one episode. Did you know that? It was very cool. And poor Colin… he’s always the woman in any of the skits, but he does fabulous last liners in the Irish Drinking Songs. You should definitely take a look. Youtube user 12medbe has a ton of stuff. And Ryan always ends up being an animal in the Party Quirks. It’s hilarious! lol
Here’s one I really like for the game Quick Change.
Other good ones:
Rap with Stephen Colbert
Drew Carey makes me hot
Squeeky
The Cat!
Bus Stop
(The ones below contain more innuendos and adult matter)
WHOOPI PWNS!
Bite Me
Is THIS?!
Jane
I’m sure there are a million more good ones and maybe later I’ll add to this list but that’s all for now. Enjoy!

So, funny story. Well, more like random, but funny sounds more intriguing. This is a chain of Youtube videos that I watched earlier today and I thought I’d share it with you. So I was just looking through my Youtube subscription updates and one of them happened to be from Kollaboration (which has AWESOME stuff by the way) and I came across one of their performers, Jennifer Chung, and she was singing this song, Very Last Time which she happened to write and I loved her voice, so I looked at the version of it on her Youtube channel which is even better (quality-wise and everything) and then this lead me to one of her covers, Nobody originally by the Wonder Girls which is BEAUTIFUL. I had never heard the song before but I had to find it immediately, and lucky for me, that video was a video response to it and the Wonder Girls version is awesome as well. Jennifer’s is a sweet mellow ballad version but still beautiful while the Wonder Girls do their awesome dance-pop version, with a great dance to go along with it. Here is the original version.
