And I saw Harry Potter. Twice. First on opening day and then again just a couple hours ago (with different people). The crowd on the first day laughed a lot more than today. Without spoilers, I thought the movie was hilarious but the last 5 minutes were crap.

And I don’t really care that nothing happened in this week’s Bleach chapter (not even other party’s reactions. Except for Hitsugaya’s, but meh he’s not that important).
Vaizards pwn.
However, Omni has basically said my thoughts of how this will lead. It’s obviously not going to end that quickly so some obstacles/diversions will need to be put into place. Bankai is definitely a start. And illusions can always be added in at any time so that’s always a possibility. I’m sure there’s a zanpakuto/weapon for every power imaginable in the Bleach universe so I’m sure Tite Kubo will be able to think of more diversions. Still, anything with the vizards is cool. I just hope it doesn’t get to the point where I’m sick of them too.

And apparently there’s a…

This site has added a few more names to the cast list for The Last Airbender, the first move adaptation of Avatar and they are all brown people playing the people of the Fire Nation. The only good thing about this that I can think of is that since Zuko is already gonna be played by a brown guy, at least they’re consistent. BUT SERIOUSLY! Once again, WHY THE HELL IS THE FIRE NATION BROWN?!?!?!?! It’s too late for Zuko, but now so is Uncle Iroh and Zhao? Zhao is CLEARLY AN ASIAN NAME! AND NOT BROWN! Why? Why are they doing this? They obviously know what these people should be. I don’t understand why they’re doing things in a way that they know will not please the fans. I’ll give them a case for Aang and the air nomads who do look like they have lighter skin, but I still don’t know how you could think that Tibetan-style monks look white… But the Earth Kingdom has the only Asian so far? The Korean? That’s a start but come on…! And seriously, the Earth Kingdom is probably the better place to cast the whites. Why is everything so backward? I was already skeptical when they first said they were gonna make a live-action movie a long time ago, but this is just making me so much more annoyed. And they totally planned this. All of the parts for the movie asked for Caucasian or any other ethnicity. Seriously. I’ll let this photo essay do more of the talking. I’ve had enough.

On a weirder and funnier note…

So yeah, I actually had a lot of work to do so I didn’t get a chance to talk about Twilight right after I watched it. I saw it yesterday, and well, let’s just say I laughed all the way through it, but it wasn’t supposed to be all that funny. I had a great time, but I “liked” it for the wrong reasons.

If I hadn’t read the book, I would have thought that was the most awkward movie ever. There were so many scenes that were not necessarily in continuity with the story (you wouldn’t know if you hadn’t read the book). And they took out so many like one-liners that were awesome! And there was NOT enough of the Cullens. And well…

Spoilers ahead… sorta lol (yeah I know that doesn’t help)

Heh, so I managed to find a way to link two things I’d done recently into the post title. Hehe what a coincidence. Or just me drawing parallels… Lost? That’s okay. It’s actually a quote by Harvey Dent from The Dark Knight which I saw a couple yesterday (yeah yeah I know it’s kinda late, but what can you do). And I thought it was pretty well done, all thwo and a half hours of it lol. It was long, but I didn’t really notice until the last hour of it (but I still thought it was three hours long… or more). I wasn’t really sure how they were going to deal with two villains in the movie, (three if you count Scarecrow) but I was actually surprised how well it played out. I was afraid it would end up like Spiderman 3, where I felt way too much time was spent on Sandman when Venom was so much cooler. And Heath Ledger (RIP…) was amazing as the Joker. His voice changed quite a bit that if all I heard was his voice, I would never thought it was him. Anyway, I was satisfied with how the movie was done 🙂

So what’s the other thing the title’s linked to? It’s similar to the title of the latest book I read, Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. Hmm? What’s that? Wasn’t I reading the first novel in that series only last week? Well, that’s why I haven’t been writing too much. I’ve been reading.

or Princess either. But that will come eventually when I get a Wii…

So, after a number of recommendations (more than 3) and a few weeks of laziness, I finally got a copy of the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I have to admit, when I picked it up at the book store, I was getting a bit scared by its size. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t particularly like books (aside from those with pictures… i.e. manga) and only reads them when necessary (meaning school) or with a few recommendations. Also, when I do pick to read a book for “leisure” (like if I have to pick one for a book report or something), I keep to a limit of no more than 300 pages. I don’t just not like reading. I’m slow. I’d like to get it over with as quickly as possible, especially if it’s boring. But I have to say that length doesn’t completely bother me if the book holds my interest. The longer it is means that feeling of excitement lasts longer too, right?

Well, back to the book. Don’t worry, no spoilers here. Unless you didn’t know this series is about a vampire romance? Well, now you know. Hehe…
